2007 Fall Sponsors

The Marion Road neighborhood is home to 100 newly planted trees! Neighbors, businesses, organizations, and even schools chipped in to make this boulevard tree planting a community building success. Over 250 volunteers planted 100 trees in two hours. That's some teamwork!

This collaborative effort would not have been successful without the help and support from the below businesses and organizations.

• The City of Rochester purchased the trees.
• Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) supplied the safety cones, waste disposal, and several planters.
• Maier Forest & Tree helped with fund donation and equipment.
• Rochester Park and Recreation helped with the event coordination including tree delivery and hole digging.
• BP Pump N' Munch Convenience Stores supplied coffee, water, and donuts to fuel the volunteers for the planting task.
• Local Home Depot supplied Gatorade® to energize the planters, and some staff members who helped plant.
• The Alliance for Community Trees and the Home Depot Foundation provided promotional materials for the event including door hangers and utility belts. The T-shirts were also partially funded by these groups.

This list doesn't even mention all of the partnering groups who came out and brought heaps of volunteers.
