2019 Neighborhood Project Grant Winners
Announcing the fifth year of our Neighborhood Project Grants. We received a great batch of creative, practical, and community-building grant applications this year. Projects that not only bring neighbors together, but also accomplish positive things for their living space. These grants reimburse up to $1,000 in costs for neighborhoods to complete projects that enhance a neighborhood’s livability and involvement, benefit the entire neighborhood and promote a strong sense of community. Each of the applications had to ensure that the neighbors would put in the volunteer effort to bring the project to completion by October 30, 2019.
This year we were able to award eight different grants to eight well-deserving neighborhoods. The total Project Grants awards in 2019 is $7,300. Additionally, two neighborhood leaders were awarded attendance to the 2019 Neighborhoods USA Conference.
Keep an eye on these neighborhood projects (above – some of the locations “before” pictures). Not only will physical transformations take place, but neighborhood-cohesiveness will transform as well.
