Ever wonder what's planned for downtown? Who decides on those plans and how do all involved collaborate? Do citizens have opportunities to give input into plans?

If these are questions you have, then this Coffee and Conversations is for you.

There are many plans underway that will transform our downtown: expanding the Civic Center, a UMN campus, new apartments, changing the streetscapes, adding retail space and a biotechnology center.

After everyone has their coffee, the morning will start off with Doug Knott, City of Rochester Downtown Development Administrator, giving an overview of the current downtown plans. Representatives of the city, downtown organizations, businesses, commissions, and non-profits will be invited to share information about current and future downtown development. Local elected officials will be invited to hear your thoughts about what is needed in our downtown.

Businesses and organizations involved in the evolving plans for downtown Rochester will be invited to set up displays in the Rotunda, available before and after the forum.
