School Board Academy starts on Monday, April 10, and will run each Monday evening for six weeks.

This is an opportunity to get an inside view of Rochester Public Schools. Register for one session or all six. The are free and open to the public.

Finances/Staff Development: Where the money goes...

This is the second in a series of six classes developed to inform the community about the school district and role of the School Board. This session will be held at the Edison Building in room 26 on the lower level.

Come to one or all six, it is not necessary to have attended each session to gain valuable information about your school district and how it works.

The Academy, taught by School Board members and District administration, provides an opportunity to learn about the complexities involved in managing and operating Rochester Public Schools. This is an opportunity for citizens to become knowledgeable, learn about opportunities for involvement in the District, and/or consider service as a Rochester School Board member.

The films are selected from the best films shown at the MInneapolis-St. Paul Film Festival so the quality of the movies shown at the Rochester Film Fest is very good. If you buy a ticket to the first Friday evening movie, you can attend the opening night party at the Chateau Theatres for free!
