It’s About Making Room to Grow
Rochester is one of the fastest growing cities in the state. Home to 97,000 residents, the city has grown more than 10 percent since the 2000 census. Rochester’s elementary student population is outgrowing its schools, increasing nearly 7 percent in the past five years. With 10 of our 15 elementary schools over 95-percent capacity and elementary enrollment projected to grow 20 percent in the next five years, the need for a new elementary school is clear.

The Ballot Question
On Tuesday, September 25, we are asking voters to consider a $17.4-million bond referendum for the construction of a 650-student elementary school in northwest Rochester, one of the fastest-growing areas of the city.

Start: 6:30 pm
End: 7:30 pm
