Scounting for Food

Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Explorers and adult leaders will be walking door-to-door in their communities throughout Southeastern Minnesota collecting food items for their local food shelves on Saturday November 10th.

To participate in the food drive, area residents should place a box or bag of non-perishable food by their front door the morning of November 10. The Scouts will deliver it to their local food shelf where it will be sorted and weighed.

The band students have been working hard since the final October conference football game preparing new literature for what we think will be one of our best shows to date.

The production will include music from our “Wicked” field show, a Tribute to Jazz (Birdland / Michelle / Fly Me To The Moon), music by Black Sabbath, Nine Inch Nails, and Chuck Mangione, and our big finish this year will be Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever.”

The traditional band entrance, percussion feature, children’s march (where children 6 and under come up to conduct the band), and creative “ditties” will all be a part of this production as well.
