  • Final Plat R2008-001PLAT by Richard Thatcher to be known as Thatcher Addition. The plat consists of 6 lots on 1.50 acres. The property is located along the north side of Knollwood Drive SE, south of Eastwood Road SE and north of Rose Drive SE.
    Amendment to General Development Plan #233 by WCP Investments, LLC know as Waterfront Business Park. On Wednesday February 20th at 7:00pm our neighborhood is invited to a presentation at Rochester Network for Re-Entry, which is located in our neighborhood at 726 3rd Ave SE. They would like to share with their neighbors the good work that they do to help build lasting relationships with all people, especially those impacted by crime, restoring them to God, family and community. They will be providing snacks, and giving a short presentation. They have also expressed intrest in helping with any events in the neighborhood, such as the Litter Bit Campaign in the spring to help keep our neighborhood a clean and safe environment.

The City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, will hold a public meeting in the Council/Board Chambers of the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN, on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. regarding:

  • Revised Type III, Phase II Conditional Use Permit R2007-030CUP and Variance R2007-27VAR by Jack Remick. The applicant is requesting approval for a Sand and Gravel Excavation permit to allow for the excavation of materials on the property. The excavation work is also located within the flood prone district and includes a request for multiple variances to the operation and reclamation requirements of the Rochester Zoning Ordinance and Land Development Manual for a Sand and Gravel Excavation. The property is located south of the Rochester Athletic Club, north of the DM&E railroad tracks and west of Industrial Drive NW.
  • REVISED Type III, Phase II Restricted Development R2007-028CUP by Joe Weis – Weis Development Corp to be known as Washington Village. The applicant proposes to construct two apartment buildings on the former Bachman site. One apartment building would contain 67 units while the other would contain 51 units, both buildings would have underground parking as well as surface parking. Access to development would be off of 10th Ave NW, 11th Ave NW and from the Northgate Plaza Senior Housing development. The property is located north of the Northgate Plaza Senior Housing development, south of Washington School and along the east side of 11th Ave. NW. The revised plan identifies a public alley being constructed in the undeveloped right-of-way of 10th Street NW.

  • Type III, Phase III Conditional Use Permit R2008-002CUP by Greg Wencl. The applicant is proposing to place fill within the 100 year floodplain to allow for the development of the property. The amount of fill material is estimated to be 12,000 cubic yards and the applicant proposes to mitigate the volume being filled. The site is located along the west side of West Circle Drive and south of Country Club Road SW and is located within the Meadow Lakes Golf Course.
  • Type III, Phase II, Incentive Development R2008-001CUP by First Presbyterian Church. The applicant is proposing an addition to the church which would exceed the allowable floor area. The property is located along the south side of 3rd Street SW and along the east side of 6th Avenue SW.

May be heard at a meeting of the Common Council to be held in the Council/Board Chambers in the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE, in said City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2008.
