The City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, will hold a public meeting in the Council/Board Chambers of the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN, on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. regarding:

Land Use Plan Amendment #R2008-002LUPA, Zoning District Amendment #R2008-002ZC and General Development Plan #R00285GDP to be known as Southside Business Park by RTL, Inc. The applicant is proposing to amend the Rochester Urban Service Area Land Use Plan to designate approximately 9.69 acres of land for “Light Industrial/Business Park “ land use, the property is currently designated for ‘low density residential’ types of uses. The applicant is also proposing to re-zone the 9.69 acres of land from the R-1 (Mixed Single Family) to the M-3 (Low Intensity Mixed Commercial/Industrial) zoning district. The GDP indicates that the property will be developed with uses permitted in the M-3 zoning district. The property is located along the west side of Marion Road, north of 29th Street SE and was previously the site of Priebe Stables.

The City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, will hold a public meeting in the Council/Board Chambers of the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN, on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. regarding:

  • General Development Plan (R00286GDP) AND Special District #20 (R0020SD) by Tom Ott to be known as Highland Preserve. The applicant proposes a mixed use development on approximately 503 acres of land utilizing unique zoning regulations with the inclusion of design standards, setbacks and land use mixes. Proposed development includes single family residential with varying lot sizes, multi-family residential, community center, commercial/office, public parks and environmental corridors. New public roadways are proposed, including alleys within a portion of the site. The property is located north of Valleyhigh Drive NW (CSAH 4), along the west side of 50th Avenue NE and along the east side of 60th Avenue NW.
  • Preliminary Plat #R2008-0011PLAT by Bigelow Homes, Inc. to be known as Harvestview Sixth. The Plat proposes to subdivide approximately 7.52 acres of land into 25 lots for residential dwellings and 2 outlots. The Plat also proposes to dedicate right-of-way for public roadways. The Plat is located along the Prosper Ave. NW, October Road NW and Harvest Lake Drive NW.
