Notice is hereby given by the Common Council of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, that all persons interested in the following public hearings:

  • Text Amendment #R2008-003TA, initiated by the City Council, to amend sections of the City of Rochester Zoning Ordinance and Land Development Ordinance Manual relating to commercial wireless telecommnications services and towers.
  • Land Use Plan Amendment #R2008-002LUPA, Zoning District Amendment #R2008-002ZC and General Development Plan #R00285GDP to be known as Southside Business Park by RTL, Inc. The applicant is proposing to amend the Rochester Urban Service Area Land Use Plan to designate approximately 9.69 acres of land for “Light Industrial/Business Park “ land use, the property is currently designated for ‘low density residential’ types of uses. The applicant is also proposing to re-zone the 9.69 acres of land from the R-1 (Mixed Single Family) to the M-3 (Low Intensity Mixed Commercial/Industrial) zoning district. The GDP indicates that the property will be developed with uses permitted in the M-3 zoning district. The property is located along the west side of Marion Road, north of 29th Street SE and was previously the site of Priebe Stables.

May be heard at a meeting of the Common Council to be held in the Council/Board Chambers in the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE, in said City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2008.

Notice is hereby given that the Rochester Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 104, located at the City Hall, 201 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN. The purpose of this hearing will be to consider the following:

  • Type III, Phase I, Variance Request R2008-017VAR by Adam Carlson to construct an addition that will not meet the required front yard setback for single family dwellings in the R-1 (Mixed Single Family) Zoning District. The property address is 904 7th Avenue SW, Rochester, MN.
  • Type III, Phase I, Variance Request R2008-018VAR by T-mobile to construct telecommunication equipment shelter that will not meet the required setbacks in a residential district. The property is in the R-1 (Mixed Single Family) Zoning District. The property address is 4403 Meadow Lakes Dr NW, Rochester, MN.
  • Type III, Phase I, Variance Request R2008-019VAR by T-mobile to construct a telecommunication equipment shelter that will not meet the required setbacks in a residential district. The property is in the R-1 (Mixed Single Family) Zoning District. The property address is 1206 Northern Heights Dr NE, Rochester, MN.
