Join us on Tuesday July 29th for repainting the Hawthorne's Street Mural. If you are free during the day please stop down and help out! RNeighbors and the SOS kids will be helping with the majority of the work, but a few extra adult hands would be great!

Folwell Neighborhood Association Meeting
The Folwell Neighborhood Association is being reactivated. You can help if you are interested. We hope you are and that you will.
Our Folwell Neighborhood Association has been very active in past years. For a number of reasons, it has not been active in recent times but that is about to change. Welcome aboard. WE WANT YOUR INPUT.
A meeting will be held on Wednesday July 9 at 7 pm, in the main floor Conference Room at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel for all interested neighbors. The Marriott, as you know, is located at the corner of 2nd Street and l3th avenue SW. The discussion at that meeting will include:
August 5th is National Night Out!

People across the nation, including Rochester & Olmsted County, will join forces on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, to promote Police-community partnerships, crime and drug prevention awareness, safety and neighborhood unity.
Last year's National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 34 million people participated in National Night Out 2007. In Rochester, 16,556 participants in 172 events. Mark your calendar for this year’s event: August 5, 2008.
Good Neighbor Awards

As part of the National Night Out celebration, the Rochester Police Department and RNeighbors will be giving awards to outstanding neighbors across Rochester, those who make neighborhoods a better place to live.

Starting Tuesday, June 17th
The Department of Public Works Traffic Division will be doing roadway paving marking and Traffic Signal Modifications at the intersection of CSAH # 22 and 55th Street NW starting on Tuesday, June 17th with all work scheduled to be completed the same day. This work entails the modification of the East Bound travel lane on 55th Street NW from a through only traffic lane to a combination through / left turn configuration. There may be temporary lanes closings during this period of time with no significant traffic delays expected.

Slatterly Park Neighbors is going to be selling a "Slatterly Grand Slam Combo" (Hot Dog, Chips, and a Soda) for just "$3.00, bring your family down to watch the softball games, enjoy our neighborhood park, and support the neighborhood association to put on future "Saturdays at Slatterly events!

Hot Topic: Our guest speaker will be the City of Rochester Forester Jacob Ryg, who will be talking about our boulevard trees. Jacob will inform us on how to get a boulevard tree, and take care of our boulevard trees. Jacob will also be sharing with us what are the requirements for gettting a boulevard garden started as well.
