I work for Minnesota Public Radio News as part of an initiative called the Public Insight Network.

Basically we use email as a tool for reaching out to people for insight on stories we'd like to cover.

We have a Rochester story that we would like to cover. And we would like to extend our reach to people in the Rochester community (beyond our internal database of about 20,000 people across the state).

Would you be willing to help?

Here is the message and the link to a short survey that can help us out.

Muslims in Rochester have begun a series of cross-cultural discussions to bridge the divide with non-Muslims.

In your experience, what will it take to dispel mistrust and misunderstanding of Muslims? Are conversations enough?

MPR News wants your help exploring these questions. Share your insights by clicking the link below.

The Islamic Center in Rochester recently began holding monthly meetings with Muslims. No question is off limits. Political correctness isn't required.

What, specifically, can Muslims do to help others understand their culture and beliefs? How much of that responsibility resides with you?

Please help us understand the context for dialogues like those in Rochester.

If you know of someone who can help MPR News understand this story, please pass this note to them.

Thank you
