Channel One FoodShare March Campaign

Channel One has set an ambitious goal for the 2008 Campaign: $110,000 and 75,000 pounds of food.
As of today, $55,000 and 31,000 pounds of food have been raised towards the March Campaign. As a friend of Channel One we are reaching out for your help to help meet this ambitious goal to support our local Olmsted County Food Shelf program. The campaign only runs during the month of March so your timely support is needed!
For some families, help with groceries each month or a few times during the year from the local food shelf program makes all the difference. It makes the difference between paying a high winter utility bill and having food on the table for growing children. It makes the difference between paying for prescription medications and having food so an elder can stay secure in their home, living independently.
We ask you to make a generous financial contribution to Channel One during March in support of the FoodShare campaign so that we can continue to provide supplemental food to these households. Investments from individuals like you made it possible for us to distribute more than 2.2 million pounds of free groceries to Olmsted County families in 2007. Your gifts of money during March bring additional support because of the statewide campaign and through the generosity of the Feinstein Foundation. This is the month when your gift goes as far as it possibly can.
Each $1 donated to Channel One is an investment you make to ensure that enough food for at least 5 meals will be available to hungry people in our community.
You can easily make a contribution right now by making a secure donation on-line at www.helpingfeedpeople.org.
It is our partnership with the community and people like YOU that make our work possible. Please make the most generous gift that works for you. Together we can end hunger in our community!
