2008 RCC Sponsors

Special thanks to the sponsors who stepped forward and pitched in to make our 2008 summer RColorful Corners projects possible. RNeighbors could not do the many community building events without the support of businesses like these.

2008 RColorful Corners Event Sponsors

  • The Community Education Advisory Board provided a large portion of the t-shirt funding.
  • The Summer of Service (SOS) students helped RNeighbors door-knock to get the neighbors involved and provided students to help with the painting.
  • Valspar provided the most essential element to RColorful Corners projects - the paint!
  • Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation also was a key player in connecting RNeighbors with Valspar.
  • The City of Rochester Traffic Engineer is a key player in the RColorful Corners committee and helps to determine which street intersections are appropriate for murals. The Planning and Zoning Department is also vital in giving us lists of neighborhood members so that door-knocking and the required signature permission collection is possible.
  • Steps to a Healthier Rochester provided funding that allowed us to contract with the muralist, Greg Wimmer.
  • Great Harvest Bread Company donated bread for the painters.
  • Kismet Consignment Shops on the 600 N Broadway block donated to our creative community building effort.
  • Parents and Children Excel (P.A.C.E.) is a mentorship program through Olmsted County, a key group in helping to collect signatures and paint.
  • Park and Recreation were excited to help out and beautify the pavement surrounding Goose Egg Park.
  • Roscoe's BBQ provided LOTS of five gallon buckets that were used to mix paint.
  • Safety Signs donated the street barricades that were required by the City to block off the streets around the project.
  • Home Depot also provided many buckets to mix paint in.
  • McDonald's donated sandwich coupons for painters.
  • Nickelson Painting stocked us up on brushes for the painting.
  • Dunn Bros. Coffee provided the essential fuel for morning painters - coffee.
  • Struves Two Floor Paint and Decorating Store stocked us up on brushes for the painters.

Not mentioned on the t-shirts were donations under $50. We appreciate all community contributions and couldn't do it without everyone working together!
