City Planning and Zoning Commission Public Meeting

The City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Rochester, Minnesota, will hold a public meeting in the Council/Board Chambers of the Government Center, 151 4th Street SE, Rochester, MN, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. regarding:

• Type III, Phase II Restricted Development R2008-036CUP and Design Modification R2008-007DM by Olmsted County Public Works. The applicant proposes to construct a new public works service center complex to replace their existing facility along 3rd Avenue SE. The complex would consist of a 109,904 square foot maintenance/office building, wash building, sand/salt storage building, fuel island and a cold storage building. The proposed sand/salt storage building and cold storage building exceeds the permitted height within the R-1 zoning district. The property is approximately 87.09 acres of land located east of St. Bridget Road SE and the Forest Knoll Subdivision, and south of 45th Street SE (County Road 101), a part Section 25 and Section 36, Rochester Township.
• Type III, Phase II Conditional Use Permit R2005-006CUP by Rochester Sand and Gravel, a Division of Mathy Construction. The applicant is requesting renewal for a minimum of three years of the conditional use permit #05-06 to operate a hot mix asphalt plant on property located east of TH 63 and south of 60th St. within the former Quarve quarry pit.
