Below is a note from the City of Rochester in regard to the Sewer Infrastructure Study being done in the Slatterly Park Neighborhood:

FYI: We are continuing to gather data for the sanitary sewer I&I study…. The latest activity is we’ll have WHKS & Co., surveyors gathering elevation data from the outside of several homes. They hope to begin this survey work yet this week. They have about 120 homes in which basement inspections were accomplished (within the last one to 3 months) and inside measurements taken. We are now gathering the outside elevations of these homes to help determine the actual floor drainage elevation and compare that to the hydraulic grade line from the August 2007 event.

Neighborhood Associations

A Neighborhood Association is the officially designated, recognized organization for a specific geographic location. Neighborhood Associations are the heart of neighborhood activities in Rochester.

We've created two tools to aid current Associations, and give start-up neighborhood groups guidelines for successful community organizing.

History

SE Settlers was the name of the original Neighborhood Association that organized in the late 90's. It was a very strong Association that held youth concerts, neighborhood clean-ups and garage sales, and garden tours. Early in 2000, the Association became dormant. In 2007, it started up again strong with the RColorful Corners street mural project as one of their first events.

Historic Southwest Neighborhood Association

Submitted by Executive Director on Fri, 2006-01-27 08:42.

The Historic Southwest Neighborhood Association (HSNA) was formed to address issues impacting our neighborhood that could not easily be done by any one individual. Our primary charter is to preserve the old neighborhood feeling that comes from being as old as the city itself. The HSNA comprises homes, small businesses, churches, Soldier's Field Memorial park, apartments and part of downtown Rochester, including portions of the Mayo Clinic. It is one of 5 neighborhood associations bordering downtown Rochester.

HSNA Mission
To preserve and enhance our neighborhood, promote community and unite our residents through a common voice.
