Blast off on a routine flight and crash into the planet D’Illyria – where a sci-fi version of The Tempest set to rock and roll golden oldies unfolds with glee. This winner of an Oliver Award for Best Musical mixes one part Shakespeare’s The Tempest, one part 1950s B movie fave The Forbidden Planet, and healthy handfuls of vintage rock and roll standards like “Wipe Out,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Who’s Sorry Now,” “Born to Be Wild,” and many, many more. Looking to take a break from your week of stress? Check out the 3rd Annual Beach Blanket Comedy show benefiting the RT Autism Awareness Foundation on Wednesday, July 23rd at the Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester.

Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a great evening of entertainment for a great cause.

The band ROYAL-T will provide music from 4:30 - 7 p.m., and the comedians - Tim Cavanagh, Scott Hansen and Bob DeMaris - hit the stage at 7 p.m.
