Planting trees, one boulevard at a time is a team effort, something we could not do without the support of local and national businesses and organizations.

Our thanks to the below groups who supported the Fall 2008 RNeighborWoods tree planting.

Rochester Park and Recreation helped with the event coordination including tree delivery and hole digging.
Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) helped with funds for the trees.
Maier Forest & Tree helped with fund donation and equipment.
The City of Rochester helped with funds for the trees.
Herring Exterior Design helped with the event coordination including hole digging.
Quarry Hill Nature Center served as a planning partner and helped to recruit volunteers and Citizen Foresters.
BP Pump N' Munch Convenience Stores supplied coffee, water, bug juice, and donuts to fuel the volunteers for the planting task.
Local Home Depot supplied water to energize the planters, and some staff members who helped plant.
Panera provided bagels for the early morning planters.
Robert Sixta Insurance provided funds for t-shirts.
The Alliance for Community Trees and the Home Depot Foundation provided promotional materials for the event including door hangers and utility belts. The T-shirts were also partially funded by these groups.

This list doesn't even mention all of the partnering groups who came out and brought heaps of volunteers.

The Marion Road neighborhood is home to 100 newly planted trees! Neighbors, businesses, organizations, and even schools chipped in to make this boulevard tree planting a community building success. Over 250 volunteers planted 100 trees in two hours. That's some teamwork!

Another successful community effort! Neighbors, businesses, and organizations stepped up this spring to assist us with this boulevard tree planting. We had over 240 community volunteers attend. They planted 100 trees in under 90 minutes! What an outstanding group.

Maier Forest & Tree helped with the event organization and fund donation. Many of their staff were on-hand with Maier equipment to make sure the planting went smoothly.
Rochester Park and Recreation helped with the event coordination including tree delivery and hole digging. Jacob Ryg, Rochester's City Forester is invaluable to our tree planting endeavors!
Let's Dish donated gourmet brownies and other yummy bars for the tree planters to enjoy.
Dunn Bros. Coffee supplied the fuel supply to get the volunteers motivated for the task of planting 100 trees.
Todd A. Gjervik from the Coldwell Banker Burnet Realty on Elton Hills Drive, brought the donuts to feed the crowd.
Sign Here created the RNeighborWoods banner for the event. That way everyone could find where to check-in.
VIP Scrapbook Gallery gave all of the supplies for the RNeighborWoods displays that we used at the Arbor Day events and the tree planting.

2006 NeighborWoods Sponsors

As with any successful community effort, the fall NeighborWoods in Rochester planting was a collaborative effort and could not have been done without the help of a large team.

The majority of the 2006 fall NeighborWoods Planting was funded by the City of Rochester. Rochester Public Utilities also gave a large portion of money to fund the planting. Our thanks to both for caring about Rochester's urban forest!
