City of Rochester Development Services Redesign

“On Monday, April 4, a resolution was passed with a 7-0 vote at the Rochester City Council meeting to create a task force to review the current development permitting process and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process. 2011 Fall RNeighborWoods Community Tree Planting

Once again Rochester neighbors rolled up their sleeves in October and planted trees, celebrating the great green community-building national NeighborWoods month. Thanks to over 215 volunteers, this month 141 trees have found homes in neighborhood boulevards. October 1, was a gorgeous fall day and over 150 Rochester neighbors came out to plant 101 boulevard trees along 55th Street NW. Basic Self Defense

The Eastside Pioneers Neighborhood Association will be discussing basic self defense at our Thursday night, October 13, neighborhood meeting. Our meeting is at 7:00 PM at the City of Life Outreach Center, 804 East Center Street. Creatures of the Night

A fun, family Halloween Happening that is non-threatening and enjoyable for parents and children ages 4 and older. The evening program includes a guided hike through the Quarry Hill woods and cave. Along the hike participants will encounter the ‘Creatures of the Night’ costumed characters, including a turkey, coyote, and white-tailed deer.
