2015 RNeighbors Neighborhood Project Grants

What is the Neighborhood Project Grant? These grants reimburse up to $1,000 in costs for neighborhoods to complete projects that enhance a neighborhood’s livability and involvement, benefit the entire neighborhood and promote a strong sense of community. We encourage you to be creative. 2015 Spring Tree Grant Application Now Available

Photo: On September 27, 2014, the RNeighborWoods team helped the Washington neighborhood plant 25 trees including Ginkgo, Elm (disease resistant), Crab-apple, Red Bud, Buckeye, and Swamp White Oaks as a part of the Neighborhood Tree Grant. Trees make good neighbors. Since its creation in 2004, RNeighborWoods has organized 5,150 volunteers to plant 5,764 trees on Rochester boulevards. A Litter Bit Better Sponsorship Opportunities

Will you Help Make Rochester A Litter Bit Better! in 2015? This popular, citizen led, city-wide initiative improves water quality and beautifies our city. With the help of generous sponsors, the event has been a success each and every year. Since the event’s first year in 2007, nearly 20,000 volunteers have prevented over 95 tons of trash from polluting our landscapes and waterways.
