Be a part of the solution.

The Neighbors for Safety effort has resounded with my Neighborhood Association and shown to me that concern for public safety is a widely felt issue. I underestimated what my neighbors felt. I’ve learned people want to help, to contribute in finding ways to address public safety in our city.”

-Dave Edmonson, Kutzky Park Neighborhood Association President

Below are some thoughts from members of the Neighbors for Safety committee.

Our Neighbors for Safety group brought a renewed life and hope back into Rochester neighborhoods. It was great to have the Chief of Police respond so quickly to our concerns. Communication is key to working together to make a strong social connection in order to move forward in our goal to make all neighborhoods in Rochester safer.”

-Marilyn Meyer, Cimarron Neighborhood Association President

To see and hear people’s reality at all levels within the community has been an engaging process revealing to me how the citizens and leaders of Rochester are not far from one another in their goals or desires. The issue at hand is bridging these concerns to create the action and impact that moves us toward progress and hope and I believe, Neighbors for Safety, can serve as that conduit and platform.”

-Susan Todzy, Kutzky Park Crime Watch Captain

I am a member of my neighborhood association. We are very concerned about public safety issues. It has always seemed insurmountable to address these issues. Working with the Neighbors for Safety group has show me and my association that there are many citizens who are concerned about the same issues and that by working together we can be more effective in participating in a city wide effort to improve safety for all citizens.”

-Janice Hobbs, Slatterly Park Neighborhood Association
