Mayor’s Council on Neighborhoods Meeting – August 2015

Tuesday, August 18, 2015, the Mayor’s Council on Neighborhoods (MCN) held their ninth official meeting.

Thanks to the Rochester Area Foundation for the excellent meeting space and to Mayor Brede for his support of the group.

Representatives from the Sunnyside, Historic SW, Eastside, Parkway, Kutzky, Washington, Indian Heights, North West, Northrop and Downtown neighborhood associations were in attendance. Guests included Heidi Mestad, Manager of DMC, Mayo Clinic and Doug Holton, Division Chair, Facilities Department, Mayo Clinic.

The agenda included a presentation on the 5 Year Plan of Mayo Clinic and a discussion on drafts of updates to the Rochester Zoning Ordinance and Land Development Manual.

Mission To strengthen connections between neighborhood leaders and give neighborhoods a collective voice.

The group will meet at the Rochester Area Foundation every two months, Tuesday, 5:30‐7 pm, unless a special meeting is called.
