Kids Explore Indian Heights Park
Hundreds of students grades K-5 were treated to time exploring Indian Heights Park as a part of the Community Ed School Aged Child Care (SACC) program on June 20, 2018. Kids got to collect and identify bugs, search for items in a scavenger hunt, hike and discover additional signs of nature.
This opportunity was provided by collaboration between Zumbro Valley Audubon Society, Olmsted County Youth Commission, SACC, Park & Recreation, MN Master Naturalists, RNeighbors and the Friends of Indian Heights Neighborhood Association.
You can carry out similar activities with your children utilizing the below materials that were used by instructors during this park exploration.
