Spring 2011 Citizen Forester Training
On Saturday, April 9, 2011, over 55 people dedicated their Saturday on all about how to be a Citizen Forester.
The RNeighborWoods team educated enthusiastic participants about tree planting basics, care, basic arboriculture and urban forest advocacy. A portion of the class was spent interacting with the out-of-doors and hand-on-learning. The morning even held a tree climbing demonstration!
The RNeighborWoods group also added a new addition to their Citizen Forester education, one for young tree lovers. There were 15 students who attended and enjoyed the lessons in the classroom and the forest. The class was taught by Natalia, assisted by Erin Rahman.
