Quarry Hill Nature Center Fall Festival features the Okee Dokee Brothers Band
Quarry Hill Nature Center announces its 23rd Annual Fall Festival on September 15 and 16, 2012. Enjoy food, fun, live music and all the best of Quarry Hill from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm each day. The festival is admission free.
This year’s festival features the Okee Dokee Brothers Band (www.OkeeDokee.org) performing songs from their recently released album “Can You Canoe? A Mississippi Adventure Album” This popular Americana Folk duo from the Twin Cities records and performs family music with a goal to inspire children and their parents to get outside and experience nature. The band will play at 12:30 and 3:00 on Sunday.
Fall Festival takes place on the grounds of Quarry Hill Park as well as inside the Nature Center buildings. Nature games, nature crafts, canoeing, rock climbing; cave tours and more are available throughout the festival. Admission is free. Food and activity tickets are available for purchase on site $1/ticket, 25 tickets/$20. Food and activities range from 1-4 tickets. Print and share the event poster.
Quarry Hill’s Fall Festival is an annual tradition for Rochester and surrounding community drawing a few thousand visitors who enjoy all the park and center have to offer. All proceeds from the event benefit the Friends of Quarry Hill Nature Center and are used to help keep the nature center admission free year-round and provide the many educational programs we provide for youth, families and adults throughout the year.
