5:30-6:30 pm
Rochester Public Library Meeting Room B, 2nd Floor
Friends of Indian Heights Neighborhood sponsors presentation at Rochester Public Library-
We hear from many solo visitors to Indian Heights Park that they feel better after walking around the park and seeing the plants and wildlife. Below is a another way that people feel better for having spent time in the Park:
This Wednesday, January 15th from 5:30 – 6:30pm you are invited to hear Barbara Timm and Claudia Swanton present their findings of working with Silver Creek Corner Residents in a community service project at Indian Heights Park. Silver Creek Corner Residents wanted to find ways give back to the community of Rochester in response to the care and services they receive due to their chronic disease of alcoholism. This group led by Barbara Timm and Claudia Swanton (Clinical Nurse Practitioners at Mayo Clinic and doctoral students at Augsburg College) chose Friends of Indian Heights Neighborhood Association to explore opportunities for “giving care back” to the community.
Please join us on Wednesday at the Rochester Public Library to learn more about this unique and mutually beneficial relationship. The presentation is open to the public in Meeting Room B. All friends, family and neighbors are welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served.
