Want something fun to do this summer, a fun event for the whole family before the school year approaches? Come check out the Rochester Arts Council’s 2nd annual ARTigras celebration.
This FREE arts and cultural festival is taking place in Mayo Park on Saturday, August 21st from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, rain or shine! There is something for everyone with the ARTiStage, ARTiKids, ARTiVillage, and Food Vendors in the park.
ARTiStage will be from 11 am to 7 pm and be the main entertainment of the night, showcasing, at the Amphitheater, Rochester’s talented professional performers. The schedules for the day includes:
11:00 – Pat Costello 3:00 – Brass, Etc.
11:30 – Annie Mack 3:30 – Julianna Belly Dance
12:00 – Rochester Symphony Orchestra Sring Quartet 4:30 – Med City Jazz
12:30 – Melissa Adams 5:00 – Sawtooth Bluegrass Band
1:00 – Fair Trade 5:30 – Hoag Park
2:00 – Roger Nelson 6:00 – Chris Millner Band
2:30 – Midnight Cowgirl 6:30 – Shaia Dance Collective
ARTiKids will be providing family entertainment from the hours of 10 am to 6 pm. They Feature the ever-popular Steamroller art, Maier’s Forest and Tree Activities, Dr. Bob Kurland’s Balloon Magic, and much more from the creative staff of the Rochester Art Center.
ARTiVillage consists of over 100 juried artisans mixed with Rochester’s arts and cultural organizations in Mayo Park that will be available from 10 am to 7 pm. They feature the Civic Theater and Friends Stage, artist demonstrations, and one of a kind handmade art work for sale.
