Bicycle Master Plan Input Meeting
PUBLIC INPUT MEETING FOR THE ROCHESTER-OLMSTED BICYCLE MASTER PLAN 2011

The Rochester-Olmsted Planning Department and Olmsted County Public Health Department have completed the draft Rochester-Olmsted Bicycle Master Plan 2011. In order to get feedback on the draft document and maps, a Public Input Meeting will be held on Thursday, November 17th from 5-7 PM at the Rochester Public Library Auditorium, 101 2nd Street SE, Rochester. The meeting will be an “open house” in format, with no formal presentation. Those attending will be asked to share their opinions on proposed policies, program, maps, and educational efforts involving bicycle travel within Rochester as well as throughout Olmsted County.

The Vision of the Rochester-Olmsted Bicycle Master Plan is to create an environment that fosters bicycle travel as a healthy, environmentally sustainable transportation alternative that will reduce vehicular travel and improve the character of the community through projects, programs and policies that work together to provide safe and efficient opportunities for bicyclists to access public transportation, schools, workplaces, shopping areas, services, recreation and residences.
