When you started out did you think you would spend your life in Rochester?

Nope. As a kid on the South side of Chicago I never dreamed there was another place to live – if I made it to and through puberty!

If you had the choice, what would your dream job be?

Testing huge yachts for comfort in the Caribbean.

What chain of events led you down the road to RNeighbors?

Retirement from IBM, involvement with Neighborhood Watch, Mayor Canfield’s request for help setting up Neighborhood Associations similar to Kutxky Park to address growing pains, bad landlords, drugs, crime, chairing the Mayor’s Advisory Council On Neighborhoods (MACON), restructuring this to be the Rochester Neighborhood Resource Center, then using the name of our newsletter to again reorganize to be RNeighbors.

What is your favorite thing to do in Rochester?

Involve myself in community problems. Talk on the radio/TV about almost anything.

What is your favorite local business?

Anywhere that would let me be a customer.

What is your favorite RNeighbors event?

RNeighborwoods Tree Planting – love to see all the helpers take off and plant those trees and see the end result. Fantastic!

What is a favorite quote of yours?

The most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’ -Ronald Reagan

What is something that you could not live without?

The public library.

Dogs, cats, or other?

One dog – Jake. (featured pic)

What do you enjoy spending your weekends doing?

Chilling out with a good book. What is your opinion of rainy days? Love them. Especially with thunder and lightning.
