Litter Bit Better Fall 2024 Results

During the 2024 Litter Bit Better fall event, 1,179 volunteers collected over 620 pounds of litter at 64 sites around Rochester. Wow! Neighborhoods were beautified, citizens gave back to their community, and all that waste was prevented from being trapped under the snow and polluting our land and water. Thanks to volunteers, sponsors, and partners for making this program possible!

Planting trees along streets maximizes the benefits of the city-wide tree canopy. Since 2004, we have achieved remarkable milestones as a community. Through the collective efforts of RNeighborWoods and 7,697 dedicated volunteers, we have planted 8,459 boulevard trees. This was possible through ninety-one events, including community tree plantings, citizen forester trainings, and neighborhood grant plantings. Litter Bit Better Spring 2024 Results

The results are in! Over 12,320 pounds of litter was collected by A Litter Bit Better volunteers during this year’s event. An estimated 3,164 volunteers picked up 324 sites that covered many locations around Rochester. Neighborhoods were beautified, citizens gave back to their community, and all that waste was prevented from polluting our land and water. Special thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors for making this program possible for the last 18 years!
