Photo: The Valhalla Park Condominium Neighbors came out in force on Saturday, May 7, to add some green leafy trees to their boulevards that had a large percentage of Ash trees. Over forty volunteers were efficient in getting the 25 trees planted in an hour and 15 minutes! Trees make good neighbors. Congratulations Citizen Forester Class of Spring 2016

The city trees of Rochester now have a whole class of brand new caretakers. Congratulations to the spring Citizen Forester graduates who completed a four hour class on Saturday, April 16. Cosponsored by City of Rochester Forestry Department, Quarry Hill, and RNeighbors this class teaches learning tree planting basics, care, basic arboriculture, urban forest advocacy, and hands-on activities. Types included Gingko, Sugar Maple, Red Maple, Catalpa, and American Linden. Trees make good neighbors.
