Chalk the Block 2024 – Call for Artists

Event Date: September 28 (Rain date Sunday, September 29)

Artists Working: 9 am-12:30 pm

Location: Throughout Rochester

Theme: “Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.” -Maya Angelou

Each participant will complete a minimum of 4 ft x4 ft (16 square ft) to create their chalk art piece.

Categories TBD.

Awards will be given in each category. Judges will conduct a final walkthrough starting at 12:30 p.m. with staggering visits.
Chosen artists will be paid $400 upon completion of their art.
Artists will be given one large box of artist chalk and one of regular sidewalk chalk for their murals. Participants are welcome to use their own chalk and supplies as well.
