Time For Citizen Solutions – InCommons Budget Roundtable
The 2011 shutdown marks Minnesota’s third in just a decade. This cycle of gridlock is making Minnesotans weary, and the partisanship and impasses have deadlocked our state services. Our state’s ongoing deficits are too big and the stakes are too high to sit on the sidelines any longer.
Citizens Can Find Another Way.
On July 19, 20 and 21 the Bush Foundation of St. Paul and its InCommons initiative are bringing Minnesotans together in Grand Rapids, the Twin Cities, and Rochester to offer policy makers new ideas for real, sustainable solutions to our state’s budget challenges.
Rochester – July 21 from 5:30 to 9 pm
1517 16th Street SW
Hwy 52 to 16th St Exit
Rochester, MN 55902
Phone: 507-289-8866
This isn’t about titles or status; it’s about the simple power of thoughtful citizens with a shared desire to find common solutions. The Bush Foundation and InCommons will be compiling the results of these meetings to share with Governor Dayton, members of the Legislature, and the citizens of Minnesota. Equipped with tools and information, we believe citizens from differing perspectives will work together to show that even the most difficult problems have solutions.
