Enter Today – Litter Bit Better 4th Grade Poster Contest
Calling all 4th Grade Teachers!
Your students can play an important part in the 11h Annual Help Make Rochester A Litter Bit Better! city-wide litter collection event by participating in the poster contest! We are looking for artwork from 4th grade students in the City of Rochester that tell a story about littering in our community.
One winner will from each participating school will be selected by a panel of judges. These school winners will be awarded an official A Litter Bit Better! t-shirt and a letter of appreciation from the Mayor of Rochester. These students will be invited to be a part of the Rochesterfest Parade!
A grand prize winner will also be selected from the pool of school winners. The prize? A pizza party for the class and special guest, Mayor Ardelle Brede of Rochester! The winner poster will appear on the RNeighbors website and in print publications in Rochester, including the “I will not litter” pledge card that is distributed to every 4th grader in Rochester. Additionally, the grand prize winner’s teacher will receive a $100 gift certificate to Office Max.
Students must submit their poster entry on the official entry form. If you are unable to replicate the provided entry form, additional copies are available upon request (contact information below). Entries can be created with colored pencils, markers or crayons. Computer graphics are not allowed. In addition to the message and artwork, judges will also consider spelling, legibilty and the ability to reproduce the image when choosing the winners. Here are the 2016 LBB Poster Contest winners.
All entries must be sent to the address below and be postmarked on or before Friday, October 28. Please include your email address with your students’ submissions so that you can be included on the Press Release announcing the results of the competition.
