Personal Information
I have been working with RNeighbors this summer and so far there has not been an uninteresting or dull day. This organization has given me new skills, the chance to meet interesting people and a wide range of information on the city I live in.
I graduated from John Marshall High School in 2006, where I was the Key Club secretary for two years. Like RNeighbors, Key Club gave me the chance to work on different volunteer projects. After high school I attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. I graduated in 2010, double majoring in Political Science and International Studies.
Where I See RNeighbors Five Years From Now
I know RNeighbors will continue to grow because it is such an important resource and tool for Rochester citizens. Not only is it needed in this city, it is wanted. I hope RNeighbors continues to gain popularity with various organizations and neighborhoods.
My Favorite Tree
A favorite tree?! That is kind of hard for me because I see every tree as beautiful, diverse and fascinating. There are two that come to mind though. I’ve never seen a Redwood in real life but I love looking at pictures of them! Although the redwoods are known mostly for their height and diameter, I love the whole redwood ecology; the fog, sunlight, etc. Secondly, spending most of my life in the Midwest, I cannot leave out the dynamic maple! Minnesota is beautiful in the summer and fall with these important trees. I’d really love to have a treehouse…
